How to brew Novelo Mist.
This coffee opens up beautifully as it cools. Pour a second cup and notice how the flavor evolves.
The origin story behind Novelo Mist.
Novelo Mist is sourced from smallholder farmers in the Bugisu highlands of eastern Uganda, on the shoulders of Mount Elgon. Coffee has been grown here for over a century — cherries hand-picked at elevation, patio-dried in the sun, then honey-processed to leave the fruit's mucilage on the bean during drying. That extra layer of fruit sugar is where the wine-like character comes from: raisin, red grape, candied cherry. Every bag is traceable back to the cooperative that grew it. Farmer-direct. No middlemen. No commodity market.

Novelo Brume possède le caractère d'un vin fin. Des notes de champagne, de raisin rouge et de raisin sec s'ouvrent sur une douceur soyeuse et confite qui reste constante du début à la fin.

Numbers, not adjectives.
Most specialty coffee brands do not publish their cupping scores. We publish every attribute score, every cupper's note, and full certification details for every lot we sell.
The global average SCA score for coffee sold as specialty is approximately 82-83. Both Novelo flagship lots exceed that benchmark by 4-6 points. That is not a marketing claim — it is a certified number.
Our beans grow in the East African highlands at some of the highest altitudes in Africa. Higher elevation means slower cherry development, denser beans, and a more complex cup — the reason our lots score in the Excellent range.
Our beans are sourced directly from farming communities in the East African highlands. No commodity market. No middlemen. Every purchase supports the farmers who grew the coffee.
